5-Alone WINS BIG at Berklee!
Vocal Jazz: 1st Place
Judges' Choice Award (within 5-Alone):

Overall Soloists (three chosen from all groups over the entire day):

5-Alone won 1st Place (for the second year in a row!) at the 42nd Annual High School Jazz Festival @ Berklee College of Music, Saturday, March 13, 2010. The group would like to dedicate their winning performance to fellow group member Maisie Dolan who could not be at the competition because of surgery.

5-Alone competed against fifteen other high school vocal jazz groups in their category to win the top prize. The judges chose Imani Devi-Brown for their "Judges' Choice" award within the group. And at the end of the day, three singers were picked for a special award from within all 16 competing groups, and two of the three were chosen from 5-Alone!! Rose O'Connell-Marion & Imani-Devi-Brown. Nice job, guys!

Cadence and 5-Alone at the Unitarian Society,
Northampton, MA • January 2010

On Saturday, January 30, 2010, 5-Alone had the good fortune to work with some of our a cappella inspirations, the members of Cadence. Thanks Carl, Aaron, Kurt, and Ross for your help in shaping our sound! That same night 5-Alone opened the show before Cadence took the stage for a killer concert!
